Toby Keith's "My Red, White, and Blue"
Toby Keith's song "My Red, White, and Blue" is available in Windows Media Video format. To download the .WMV as it is, click here. To download a .zip file of the same .WMV file (compressed by 20% to download faster), Click here. When you click on the .wmv selection, the download manager will come up and say "toby.exe". This is correct. I had to put that extension on it or it tries to decode as it downloads and all you would get would be a bunch of useless ASCII code. Click "OK" and download the file. After download, RENAME the file "toby.wmv" and it will play fine.
A word of caution: The zipped file is 3.6 megabytes and the unzipped .wmv file is 4.6 megabytes, so they will take a few minutes to download, depending upon the speed of your modem. But I think you will be pleased with the result after you have downloaded. Just download to your favorite director and play, or download, unzip, then play.
Another thing you need to know. The file will play fine with Microsoft Windows Media Player versions 7.1 and below. If you have Windows XP operating system or have upgraded your Windows Media Player to version 9.0, you will need to make a change on the 9.0 version for this video to play correctly.
Lauch your Windows Media Player, then click on the "Help" option at the top. When it opens, click on the bottom option which says "About Windows Media Player". A box should open which gives the version number. As long as a version of 7.XX (X being any number) or something less, the video will play fine by just clicking on it. If it says the version is 8 or 9.0, you must make the change below first so the .wmv file will play correctly.
To make this change (remember, this is for versions greater than 7.XX), while your Windows Media Player is open, select the option "Tools" at the top . When this box opens, click on the selection at the bottom that says "Options". When this selection opens, click on the tab marked "Performance", go down to the bottom, and drag the video accelerator button from Full to the left until it is sitting on "NONE". Click the apply buttom, then click OK, and now the video will play fine on your Windows Media Player to. The video was made with an older version of Windows Media Maker and if you do not make this change, the audio (music) will still play fine, but you will not see the video portion or it will keep hanging on various graphics. By turning off the video accelerator, it plays correctly.
Enjoy. Best part of all is when the C-130 starts ejecting it's anti-heat seaking missle chaf....... Looks like the 4th of July.
